Suggestions[edit]

I feel that the article would be improved if the information for suction feeding was cited and additionally if there were some level of taxonomy added throughout the article to emphasize the evolution of more sophisticated feeding mechanisms. Simply using the term bony fish seems insufficient personally. I think it would link the feeding tactics better by implying some level of how jaw protrusion is the most derived character; however, that advance teleost fishes do still uses tactics such as ram feeding and suction in combination with jaw protrusion. Finally explanations for the feeding tactics maybe beneficial. Alh583 (talk) 19:56, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Here are a few articles all written by George Lauder which may contribute to the given article

I have reviewed the additions made by Alh583. He added significant information to suction feeding, and used several good sources. I think his contributions added significant depth to the topic. slegg101 (talk) 16:07, 24 February 2017(UTC)
