FMA is not the same as Arnis/Eskrima/Kali as there are a lot of other native Philippine martial arts separate from these weapon-based umbrella terms, such as Boltong from Northern Luzon, Dumog from Visayas, Sikaran (kicking), newer ones like Yawyan, there's Kuntao, Silat from the South, etc. That's like saying Karate, Judo, Aikido, Kenjutsu, etc are all just the same and that the Wikipedia entries for both articles be just merged into a single article called "Japanese Martial Arts". I am going to start the nomination process for the renaming of the article. -Object404 (talk) 06:35, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I did not "find" it. I help edit it. The article has now been moved and renamed to "Arnis" by an administrator, thanks. Will start the cleanup process to align terminology on the FMA articles with it over the next few weeks, as well as other articles referencing it. Will also move unnecessarily specific sections about Arnis in Filipino Martial Arts over to this article to consolidate them and clean things up a bit. Cheers! -Object404 (talk) 12:18, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have just added archive links to one external link on Arnis. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

I think the ranking section would benefit from a disclaimer clarifying that the system shown there is that of just one organization, and that different arts (or even multiple organizations within an art) may use other systems. If no one objects I'll add something. T.plicata (talk) 19:42, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I gathered together all the information on the origins of the words arnis, escrima and kali and put them in one section at the beginning of the article. Sethie (talk) 10:57, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
