Citations[edit]

As I've made notice on other articles for Solid State Bands, I'm going around finding citations. I'm not great at making articles encyclopedic or citing... so I'm just finding the links if somone would be so kind as to cite and insert them.

There's a part on the page that says they've sold thousands of EPs. This is true, I found one link. And I know it doesn't count, but I know it's true because it was on their profile on Solid State Record's site when they were first signed, and on their myspace.

And here is a citation for them posting their demo of "The Hoard"

Here is a citation for their November December tour in 2007 (can we please note that this was in 2007, it doesn't say the year in the article)

Genre[edit]

I think it's pretty clear that ACB is a post-hardcore/rock band. They fit the criteria pretty well. Radar123 23:13, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the "citation needed" for their genre label. I'm not sure why we need to cite what genre they are. It should be pretty obvious from their music. AugustWinterman 1:13, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

I agree with Radar123. It is obvious they are not Indie Rock, and someone with more knowledge of hardcore than me should correct this. 9ign 23:12, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Their first album was blatantly post-hardcore, however, their new album has hints of indie rock, post-rock, post-hardcore, progressive rock, and emo so it's really hard to describe them. I think Post-Hardcore/Indie Rock would be the best description. AugustWinterman 14:11, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The thing about indie rock is that it is merely an umbrella term, and could apply to a lot of other musical groups, some that sound nothing like As Cities Burn. I think post-rock would best describe their last album (it's not nearly as hardcore as their first album was), and it is more precise. I'll change it. 68.23.11.58 (talk) 02:37, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deceit in the Breakup[edit]

Is it possible this was a ruse to gain publicity? Possibly, only time will tell. Avenged Evanfold 04:20, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are they christian? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.30.245.102 (talk) 04:34, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

yeah they are all christian, and no they never used this, thats not who they are iCheets (talk) 06:12, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube links[edit]

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed or you would like to help spread this message contact us on this page. Thanks, ---J.S (t|c) 03:15, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As Cities Burn EP 2003[edit]

Anyone else thing it should be deleted? I dont think it should have its own page. It was just a bonus disk that came with "Come Now, Sleep" pre-orders and is already posted on the CNS page. Fezmar9 (talk) 00:18, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ACB announcement[edit]

There was a sentence in the article, that said ACB's breakup announcement was posted below. I saw no such announcement, and deleted the sentence. Please correct me if I was totally blind, and the announcement was there. --Farfromhere (talk) 20:43, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Screamo or Christian metal[edit]

I know that they'd be one or another due to all their screaming in songs so would they be screamo or just christian metal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.119.73.170 (talk) 19:18, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's NEITHER. And if you want to prove it, you need to cite it. :) Thanks! Lorenwade (talk) 05:20, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

due to there new album, i think they would step into the indie category iCheets (talk) 23:56, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Emo????!!![edit]

I'm sorry but the one of the genres listed is 'emo'.i wouldn't consider that to be correct.they are not emo(at least i think) does every hardcore band around today have to be 'emo'? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nirvanarox55 (talkcontribs) 13:13, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, they aren't remotely emo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.117.29.189 (talk) 14:10, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mobile/Pensacola shows[edit]

so I wasn't at those shows, and appearently some stuff went down that has caused the band to be on the brink of breaking up, and they posted a myspace blog about it. BUT! I was super relieved that no one had changed this page to talk about it yet, cause no one really knows what happened yet. SO PLEASE no one add anything about it! It could turn out to be nothing and that would stink if someone read some garbage about them on here that wasn't true. That's all. (There's a vid on youtube of it too if you wanna see what everyone's freaking out about) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amandaoath (talkcontribs) 03:11, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

draft about Come Now Sleep[edit]

There's a draft at Wikipedia_talk:Articles for creation/Come Now Sleep. It has no citations but may contain something worth merging into this article. —rybec 23:37, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It has two citations if you convert the review links to references, which is what they're supposed to be. However the AbsolutePunk review is not a staff review and so you only have one RS, which is why the article was originally deleted. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:04, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
