This site is notable as per the report by Wall Street Journal[1] According to the journal, this site has about 2.1 million users combined in AsianAvenue.com and another website from the same company. OhanaUnitedTalk page 23:59, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That article is about Community Connect Inc., a parent company: "It has registered about 2.1 million users combined on its AsianAvenue.com and BlackPlan-et.com sites." The article doesn't say how much was on which, nor does it suggest that AsianAvenue is/was notable by itself. I'm not quite convinced. --Evb-wiki 00:18, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
According to Wall Street Journal, it says that AsianAvenue received 70,000 unique visitors in August 2000. I don't have any figure for any recent website traffic but I found this on the internet [2], stating that it became "one of the biggest online communities in the United States." Perhaps we should ask the community at WP:AfD. I'll remove the speedy tag. --Evb-wiki 00:40, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm disputing this reference. This site appears to take content from anyone and there is nothing to indicate there is editorial oversight in the content that appears on the page. Its akin to a group blog. The individual who wrote that particular piece I'm still a college student majoring in drama and art. Minoring in writing, international studies, and eastern philosophy.. From the site's "about us" page Associated Content is an online publishing showcase where everyone -- from experts and enthusiasts to amateurs and professionals - can become a Content Producer and submit original material on virtually any topic for distribution. Associated Content's Content Producers gain exposure by contributing to its ever-expanding ad-supported collection of original video, text, audio and images.. If someone can demonstrate where on the site they indicate that content is fact checked and verified prior to publishing please do so.--Crossmr 13:16, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
