I believe this is an Eastern Polynesian language, but don't know whether it's part of the Tahitic subgroup or the Marquesan-Hawai'ian one. Can someone please supply this information? Koro Neil (talk) 10:32, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tuha'a Pae →Austral Islands – Restoring the old title . The new name seems extremely dubious and there aren't much quality sources for its usage. fr:Îles Australes would probably know more about this subject but they don't even list this alternative name. This says it means the fifth part which is probably a Tahitian translation of some term for a colonial division only in modern usage. There is no historical background to it, at least not that I can see. Either way Austral Islands is the most common terms for these islands in most sources, new and old. Also can someone also clean up this article especially after user:HURIMOZ to see of they are actually factually correct? Thanks. --KAVEBEAR (talk) 06:09, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
