A fact from Bart Bok appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 11 September 2014 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Bart Bok and his wife Priscilla, who were both astronomers, worked together so closely that it was "difficult and pointless to separate his achievements from hers"?
I have taken a User copy of this article, which I will try to clean up and expand, especially focusing on providing references. If any editor has material which you think would be helpful, or has feelings about what is / is not appropriate to include, then please comment here so we can discuss it. --Gronk Oz (talk) 03:51, 29 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It is not mentioned in the article what his main area of work was; an image briefly mentions that he studied dark nebulae. Maybe someone can go into more detail in his biography? David H. Levy told me last year that he wrote Bok's biography, but I have not read it; maybe someone here did?

Thank you for calling attention to a serious omission. I've inserted the basic information; perhaps it can be expanded upon later. Hertz1888 (talk) 04:20, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I was in the process of expanding the article when this discussion came up: hopefully the new version will help to address some of the issues. --Gronk Oz (talk) 11:02, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
In response to a question at the Teahouse, Cullen328 offered the following comments:
I took a quick look at Bart Bok and agree that it is better than start class. It is a developed, informative article about a fascinating person and his accomplished wife. On the other hand, it has some problems. Some content in the lead is duplicated word for word in the body. The lead is supposed to summarize the body, not incorporate sentences word for word. Also, there is an excessively long quotation by Bok. My guideline is that a two sentence quote is fine, a three sentence quote is OK but deserves a second look, and a four sentence quote is pushing the limits. So, I suggest that you copy edit that article and then upgrade its rating. Cullen328 04:35, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
