I have yet to find a way array of good sources for this battle online with the most details coming from pages about the historic site. --Rballou00:30, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Anders' Missouri Historical Review has been the best reference and what I used to expand the article. There is a new book about the subject, Skim Milk Yankees Fighting by Cooper-Wiele, but I have not yet read it. Red Harvest (talk) 04:12, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
