So I noticed in the Results section, it says "Merritt's Troop of Provincial Dragoons, accompanied by Ottawas under Captain Matthew Elliott and other Indians under Mohawk chief John Norton". The word Ottawas is a link, and it links to the CITY of Ottawa. I'd change it myself to the tribe (Which I am 90% sure should be spelt Odawa), but I know nothing about the Battle of Beaver Creek and I worry that its a typo and the word 'Regulars' was left out. I also know very little about Wikipedia protocols, so any help would be appreciated. (I'll sign all my posts with the letter "T")

Added the suggestion that Laura Secord may not have been as significant as traditionally held, and added Stanley reference for support. Didn't have time to see if there's a web reference that would work as well. Joel Bastedo01:08, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The second paragraph under subheading Laura Secord: Most probably erroneously given month July instead of correct June. Please, check. --Avitek05:35, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Co-ordinates for original site of Battle of Beaver Dams monument[edit]
I've given the map co-ordinates for the northeast corner of the intersection of Davis Road and Old Thorold Stone Road but would prefer to be a little more precise as to the actual original location of the monument. In looking at the site in Google Earth, this spot [ 43°07′08″N79°11′04″W / 43.118866°N 79.184309°W / 43.118866; -79.184309 ] stands out as being worthy of attention simply by virtue of being a short road to nowhere in a field. But can anyone locate it with anymore precision and certainty? Natty10000 (talk) 11:07, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
