Symphony No. 1[edit]

is in D and dates from 1881 (http://www.concertzender.nl/programmagids.php?date=2007-04-07&month=-25&detail=22702 ) - can be heard at that link. I have no further information, though. Schissel | Sound the Note! 10:09, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Who is Huyschenruyter[edit]

Can someone tell me who is Huyschenruyter? He/she is mentioned in the paragraph talking about Zweer's humour.

I tried researching myself, however all I get is stuff about porcelain, and when I add "composer" or "concert overture" to my search, it just shows me websites copying the information from this article. The closest I could get to finding someone is Otto Hutschenreuter, a German cellist not known for writing any works, therefore he is an unlikely candidate

Perhaps I am being dumb, but I am really curious on who Huyschenruyter is RandomEditorAAA (talk) 02:14, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is most likely that Huyschenruyter is a typo of Hutschenruyter, to which it could refer to the previously mentioned Otto, or Wouter (most likely the junior as the senior died before Zweer's 2nd symphony), or Wilhelm. What seems interesting is that Wouter Hutschenruyter Sr. wrote a concert overture for the 25 anniversary of Toonkust (called Feest Overture/Festive Overture), however that would approximately date it to 1854, compared to when Zweers wrote the 2nd symphony in 1882-83. However, I don't think that matters, just interesting. (Sources: "of the twentyfifth anniversary of Toonkunst , for which Hutschenruyter composed a Feest - ouverture [ Festive overture ) . [1]) Thanks, - RandomEditorAAA (talk) 01:47, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
