Bhumihars are rulling caste in Bihar, Jharkhand and Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh.This caste is holding most of the lands in the area so some people always try to defame Bhumihar caste by spreading wrong and false things about BHUMIHARS. However, various studies and opinion of Hindu scholars state that Bhumihars are indeed a high priestly caste, they are Brahmins although it is not clear that where they might fall in, in the Brahmin group.
