Comments[edit]

Okay so are we just going to continually censor Wikipedia and not allow facts? It's hardly non-neutral and bias if your using his own words.

How is this not relevant or factual, when I've provided the link to listen to it? It's already appeared on the news as well as several radio shows and websites, as a CONTROVERSY. Just because you agree with it doesn't make it non-factual or not a controversy "It’s an abomination. First it ranges two octaves most people can only do kind of one octave. I mean when you think about it, it’s bombs bursting in air rocket’s red glare it all kinds of, you know a lot of national anthems are that way, all kinds of military jargon and the land there’s only one phrase ‘the land of the free’ which is kind of nice and ‘the home of the brave?’ I don’t know," he said. "Are we [Americans] the only ones who are brave on the planet? I mean all the brave people live here. I mean it’s just stupid I think. I’m embarrassed, I’m embarrassed every time I hear it." If it's been covered in the news, then it's the news links that should be used to source it. Otherwise it's just a thing he said that somebody happens to think is controversial. In other words, you have to show that it is in fact noteworthy. ... discospinster talk 17:55, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Altar Ego?[edit]

"He was an altar boy and took vows of obedience, poverty and chastity." Altar boys do not take such vows. Was he perhaps an altar boy in childhood, then joined a religious order later?

Also, is this the Bill Press who was news director at Illinois Institute of Technology's campus radio station in the 1960's?

Christ, read the cited article. -- Jibal (talk) 22:14, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
