Maintaining Bioswales

[edit]

Bioswales are self sustaining and require little maintenance after the initial setup. Early observation may be required to ensure that the designated plants in the bioswales are taking root and establishing a footing for future stormwater mitigation.[1] Bioswales are dependent on rainfall and its effectiveness depends on the time the water is retained in the bioswale. Edit Suggestions

    [edit]

Overall I think this is a good overview and easy to understand article. A few suggestions: In the contaminants addressed, citations need to be added for the bullet points on water pollutants. I also think there could be greater clarification on the Pathogens description—I’m not sure it’s clear to the average reader what that means. It also might be better to maintain consistent formatting for this section—the first three have a dash and the last two are written more in paragraph form.
