This article has multiple issues, and I've been working on cleaning it up over the weekend. I tackled the second part of the article, dealing with border security measures at ports, airports, and land borders. I cleaned up and clarified a lot of the language (i.e. changed 'United States southwestern' border to 'US-Mexico border'), added facts and connections between topics (especially in the airports section). While this article certainly reads like some type of essay, after close reading and editing I can see why the author thought this relevant to wikipedia, and (begrudgingly) agree that it should be here.
I will try my best to clean up this article and present more facts about the system surround the border security of the United States. If I get ambitious, I'll put in a section about the politics around border security and it's role in the immigration debate. Gee totes (talk) 17:01, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think the title Border security in the United States would be much more NPOV (omitting the loaded term "concerns") and precise/accurate (since the article covers more than just concerns, but also praxis, history, etc.). anyone have any thoughts before I request the move? Jdcooper (talk) 01:04, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support: The wikilink is piped in linked articles as none appear to use the "concerns" portion of the title. The shorter title better identifies the topic as you point out. The "solution" six years ago was to create a bunch of redirects such as the one you suggest moving on top of. Go for it! 〜 Adflatuss • talk 05:09, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

United States border security concerns → Border security in the United States – This title would avoid NPOV language (specifically the loaded term "concerns"), be more precise/accurate (since the scope of the article is more than just "concerns", but also current situation, history, etc.), and be more consistent with similar articles across a whole range of topics ([Issue X] in [Jursidiction Y]. Support, seems like a straightforwardly better title. —Mx. Granger (talk·contribs) 17:22, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
