The only ref found to date of army service of Stoddard is his obituaries, which says, "After a stint in the Army,…". There is also a mention where he performed as a member of the Yale thespian group on army bases in Europe in the summer of 1958. There are no other mentions of army service found as of yet in Newspapers.com and Google Books.
