Churchlady612 (talk) 17:53, 7 December 2012 (UTC)== Merge with Slave Castle of Cape Coast ==[reply]

It appears that the last contributor , piper, took some liberties with the content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FEA8:A420:1D00:956F:99DA:A6D2:9F7C (talk) 00:35, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

I agree that "Cape Coast Castle" should be merged because the other page, "Slave Castle of Cape Coast", is more descriptive of the use and significance of this location, which I have personally visited.

I agree, they should be merged. The Cape Coast Castle is the Slave Castle in Ghana. I have visited it! - N. Udo — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.125.92.51 (talk) 15:17, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Transportation of prisoners from the UK[edit]

Penal transportation § Transportation to North America says this location was a destination for British prisoners (in the 1700s? 1800s?) which turned into a disaster, citing the book A Merciless Place: The Lost Story of Britain's Convict Disaster in Africa. No doubt coverage of that would make an interesting expansion for this article. -- Beland (talk) 16:21, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
