Requested move 13 May 2020[edit]

Carlile FormationCarlile Shale – Although Carlile Formation is sometimes used by some scientists, Carlile Shale is by the far more prominent usage for the geological formation. It is what the USGS, state Geological Surveys, and most scientific publications use. It should be noted that most search engine-driven results may put more perceived relevancy for Carlile Formation because that is what this article is currently named as. Moved. It has been over a week by this point and it seems that what consensus is available is okay with the move. Seeing that there is really no point in continuing, I have closed this discussion and moved the page.
Hi. Thanks. Most units have been redundantly stubbed, I have been slowly merging those in the Midcontinent. My selection for demotion to REDIRECT has been somewhat arbitrary; I may have had a bias to the names bearing "Formation" or "Group" as being the more formal. I felt/assumed that "Carlile Shale" was informal, (actually, as farmers, we just say "Carlile"), but from you prompting, I see Geolex indicates "Carlile Shale" as predominate in the literature. So, NP with move with redirect. IveGoneAway (talk) 14:55, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
