At the moment, this page has serious NPOV problems- it reads as though written by an anti-clericalist. Not quite Diderot "the last King strangled by the guts of the last priest", but bad enough. I'm struggling to decide whether the article suffers from POV issues or just needs to be cleaned up. It's an interesting topic and I'm sure a heck of a lot more can be written (if I'm not mistaken, France has the largest population of Catholics in Europe).
