Am finding MANY, MANY references about events marking this holiday worldwide but given that is is a yearly celebration and the current state of internet usage, many of them are on blogs. Are these usable as references or is it strictly websites only? BiAndBi (talk) 20:25, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
since the article has been substantially improved and now has lots of references BiAndBi (talk) 02:17, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The original posting of this point was titled "Why America will never celebrate Bisexuality Day." The text of that post follows:
This is complete and utter stupidity coming to life before our eyes. A choice like BiSexuality is one that a person makes in the wake of they're own privacy. People are tolerant but remember when you are tolerant you tolerate something but you sure as heck dont like it, thats why its called being tolerant. We already have gay pride and lesbo pride and enough is enough. You are'nt going to get another reason to flaunt the fact publically that you choose to live outside of the norm and rub it all in our face. Ok we get it you like to irritate people, I am convinced that is why about 75% of people are homosexual or bisexual. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.240.47.171 (talk) 19:34, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
you may "need" to do many things, but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a host for your lobbying activities or press releases. Please get your own webspace for this kind of thing. Wikipedia can only cover topics that are already notable, not topics that "need to become more visible". The proper sequence is: (a) become visible, then (b) write an encyclopedia article about yourself, not vice versa. --dab (𒁳) 05:45, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rants and chat back and forth are not the purpose of the discussion/talk page. This is solely for the discussion of the article itself, not the reasons behind it, the general state of tolerance or intolerance, or anyone's personal opinions. Please stick to the article itself, in a civil format. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.65.34.242 (talk) 17:07, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop removing or otherwise messing around with the Holiday Infobox or deleting the picture of the three founders. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.3.204.198 (talk) 18:54, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article says "it is now celebrated throughout the United States" without anything to back this up. The statement is preposterous and implies that it is celebrated in Ahoskie, North Carolina, East Peru, Iowa and Savery, Wyoming, for example. The statement smacks of WP:ADVOCACY and must be removed.
