I studied Graphic design at Southfields college in Leicester in the late 80s, and our lecturers mentioned many times that they had taught Charles, but even then he was far more interested in acting. The references say Rednal (Birmingham) and Worcestershire. Anything definite?

You reverted an edit I made. Clearly on the page I linked to the photo is copyright to Showmasters Ltd as stated. The Flickr user has mistakingly placed it under creative commons, when attendees who buy photos with guests at showmasters events like London Film Con do not get any copyrights - see the show masters photo shoot library about page here http://showmasters.photoshelter.com/about/. How you can say showmasters took the photo from a Flickr page is baffling when they them self take the professional photoshoots at their own events and retain copyright. The photo should be replaced. One important missing asset should I point out in the Television section. Charles Dance is widely acclaimed and is heavily known for playing the best rendition of British spy novelist, Ian Fleming in the autobiography made for TV, called Goldeneye: The Secret Life of Ian Fleming, released in 1989. But, I don't see the title being listed anywhere in the article, nor has a separate coverage for its own. I rather loathe opening paragraphs for actors that start off with "he is best known for . . . " and then list a half dozen roles (or in this case, eight). "Best known for . . . " should, I think, be reserved for the best known role, or perhaps two. I don't know which of these roles is his best known (I first saw him as the glass-eyed villian in Last Action Hero), but my guess is that, at least to American audiences, his best known role is not any movie role, but his performance in Game of Thrones. I mean, the lead should not be a mishmash that repeats everything in an actor's career section. I'm not doing anything yet, but am interested in others' thoughts before taking the keyboard to the lede. Unschool 19:49, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
