There's already an article on Chinese clothing, Hanfu. ?--67.194.35.191 (talk) 04:02, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed; the other is much fuller. Or this could be kept for the modern period. I will add a "main article" link anyway. Johnbod (talk) 00:59, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hanfu is not the only Chinese clothing. There are enough items for 100 wikipedia articles from all the dynasties. This page used to be called Chinese fashion until someone moved it. Benjwong (talk) 03:49, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there no topic on the Manchu Headdress of a noble woman??? Obsessions28 (talk) 14:38, 21 July 2008 (UTC) Yay man[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Cv102460.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Cv102460.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --07:29, 20 May 2008 (UTC) I,m so cool — Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.236.230.235 (talk) 01:56, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

So offensive[edit]

In the part where it says "Also, most people residing in rural China cannot afford such new and pricey clothing from new western style companies.", it sounds very offensive. I don't know what to change it to, but i dont like the sound of it. thx! Natalie978 (talk) 19:09, 30 May 2010 (UTC)Athena, Goddess of Wisdom and War Strategy[reply]

Thank you for reminding me. I'm trying to add some pictures now. Hhhlx (talk) 15:17, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Qin dynasty paragraph[edit]

These two sentences...........

"In the pre Qin period, the upper garment was called a garment, and the lower garment was called a garment. The difference between clothing and clothing is very clear."

....need help or they need to be deleted. "the upper garment was called a garment and the lower garment was called a garment" Wow. No shit. Whoever wrote this has a fondness for repeating the amazingly obvious. 65.248.13.32 (talk) 16:55, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reminding me. I'll revise it now. Hhhlx (talk) 15:16, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What did peasants wear?[edit]

The entire article is devoted to what the upper 1% of Chinese society (nobility) wore and there's no mention of how the lower 99% (everyone else) dressed. So you're missing some info that probably should be included. 65.248.13.32 (talk) 17:26, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The article has an introduction about the dress of the lower class. Thank you for reminding me. Hhhlx (talk) 15:16, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
