This is a crude, but workable, 'secret section' of the ISS article. Designed to appear when the material in this section is notable, and disappear the rest of the year. No doubt there are more elegant ways to implement it, and I'm all ears ! Penyulap talk 07:15, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea... I suggest to move it to "International Space Station/Christmas on the International Space Station" or something like this, because the template namespace is generally for contents which are supposed to be used in more than one page. --Z 10:22, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the support ! and thanks to The Mark of the Beast for improving where the (now an) article lives. Thank you Z for the additional code to aid transclusion. I had expected from the start that it would need to appear in different places, so that editors can view how it would look in a different place in time from their current location. Re: Prod

[edit]

I agree with Andy that this article is notable enough to stand on its own. What needs to be discussed is whether or not to include it in the ISS article. In all honesty, the idea of this article showing up in the ISS one around Christmas time is excellent. In reality, that is when most readers would care for the information.

Now, I don't fully agree with Z's suggestion above to move this article into a sub-article of the ISS; this article is its own. Adding it to the see also section on ISS would probably be appropriate however. --WingtipvorteX PTT 20:00, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think this would be better covered in the articles on the individual expeditions occupying the station at that time of year. With regards including it in the ISS article, I do not believe it is encyclopaedic to have article content which varies depending on the time of year; so it should either be always visible or not included. It seems too trivial to include in detail, however it could be turned into a section on various observances aboard the station. --W. D. Graham 22:41, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I like the idea of various observances, though I'd prefer it to remain its own article. This would make the article much more substantial, enabling us to have a small section for it in the ISS article, with a link to this one. --WingtipvorteX PTT 23:17, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What title would you suggest for that? --W. D. Graham 07:57, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It could be called 'Religious observances aboard ISS'. I just found out that we have an article on Religion in space. A merge of this article into that one may be very appropriate. Expanding the scope to all religions aboard ISS would still be good, even after a merge. --WingtipvorteX PTT 14:29, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Merging with the religion article seems like a good idea. --W. D. Graham 16:06, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've tagged it, lets see what other editors think. --WingtipvorteX PTT 16:41, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
