A fact from Crocodile farm appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 17 February 2009, and was viewed approximately 2,092 times (disclaimer) (check views). The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that despite the fact that self-described alligator farms have existed since the 1890s, true commercial farming of crocodilians did not begin until the mid-20th century? Why Alligator farm and not Crocodile and Alligator farm? --Karljoos (talk) 03:19, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's because there are actually more Alligator farms in existence according to the source material available, and Alligator farms definitely existed before Crocodile farms. Steven Walling (talk) 07:05, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changing,

• "In Vietnam, skinning is performed on still living crocodiles."

to

• "In Vietnam, there have been instances of skinning performed on still living crocodiles, due to non-thorough slaughtering practices."

based on the Forbes article cited^[1] doesn't seem to accurately reflect what the source says. Before performing an additional edit to re-insert, discuss here. I'm not convinced the prior text is fully supported. The article was about a PETA video in two crocodile farms, the text strongly suggests the practice is standard or widespread but I am open to finding a better way to contextualize or attribute.
