Where did he die, where is he buried? --evrik 18:33, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm working on getting his auto-biography. --Gadget850 (Ed) 19:17, 12 July 2006 (UTC) Ummmm... obviously that isn't going to cover his death. --Gadget850 (Ed)[reply]
Here are three more works that may reference him:
Dictionary of American Biography; National Cyclopedia of America Biography; Kentucky Post, June 23, 1965; Kentucky Enquirer, August 25, 1934. --evrik 17:31, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Clearly this person is Top importance within US Scouting, but Wikipedia is a global project. Should the article perhaps be High importance? --kingboyk 10:55, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Peterson's book The Boy Scouts: An American Adventure has a photo on page 27 of Dan Beard and B-P. Uncle Dan is wearing what certainly looks like an Eagle Scout medal. It is B&W, so I can't tell the color of the eagle pendant. --Gadget850 (Ed) 19:17, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently there is a Mount Dan Beard in Alaska. I haven't found anything definitive that it is named after Dan beard, but.... --Gadget850 (Ed) 00:39, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:AmerBoyHandybook.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image File:AmerBoyHandybook.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
