Architect?[edit]

Dankmar Adler shouldn't be listed under Architects - he was an engineer and his partner, Louis Sullivan, was the architect. Adler's wonderful steel frames opened up the buildings and allowed Sullivan and others to creat the 'Chicago" style with its strong horizontal lines and extrodinary details.

If being the senior partner of the best architecture firm in the country does not make you an architect, what does?

Sullivan starved without him.

Article which sdresses the work of the Firm?[edit]

Shouldn't there be an article about Adler & Sullivan that addresses the work of the firm; and then separate biographical articles about Louis Sullivan and Dankmar Adler, each of which provides a complete biography along with information about their individual work when they were not partners. I believe Adler was a member of a Chicago firm called "Burling & Adler" earlier in his career. The Sullivan article credits all the work of the firm Adler & Sullivan firm to Sullivan, yet Adler, Wright, Elmslie and others played significant roles and at times were certainly equal contributors.
