The people authoring and editing this topic no longer have permission to reprint anything off of the OFS Demonolatry site verbatim because people have been changing the context of the copied and pasted information, thus spreading misinformation (like saying Dukante is the founder of Demonolatry, which is entirely untrue. Please do NOT revert this page back to include informtion that was taken directly from our website or I will be forced to take legal action. You do not have permission to reprint any information directly from our website. Write your own descriptions of Demonolatry, please. If you have questions - contact me at ofs.admin@gmail.com

All of these issues discussed on this page to this point have been rectified and cleaned up. Poisonarrow 17 February 2006

If anyone wishes to post external links to demonolatry please make sure they are demonolatry related and not ceremonial magick related (post those in Ceremonial Magick). Please also be sure external sites you add have viable articles or subject matter regarding the article. Poor link choices, having nothing to do with subject of the article, do nothing to help users of Wikipedia learn more about the subject matter. Thank you. Poisonarrow 27 January 2006

If you wish to portray the 1999 book by S Connoly as a "new religious movement", do so at "Modern Demonolatry", with references, please. dab () 19:41, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merge? No[edit]

It's not the same as demonology, which is the study of demons, often in the past by Christians. Demonolatry is the worship or giving of respect to demonsMerkinsmum 17:14, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My initial response to a proposed merge was no, but now I'm not so sure. This article doesn't look like much, due to lack of sources. So maybe creating a redirect and adding this content to demonology, would make it look more like something.Merkinsmum 17:33, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
you are right: the point is that this article is practically worthless as it stands. I do think the best approach is to focus on building a comprehensive Demonology article first. If somebody is prepared to invest work in a separate Demonolatry article, it can of course always be re-created. See also the merge notices at Christian demonology: These articles all suffer from serious issues (to avoid saying that they don't even have issues because they have no substance) and need a concerted effort focused on some main article. This is not a final verdict on how the articles should "finally" be arranged, but a practical way forward out of the present mess. dab (𒁳) 08:40, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well you would know how best to do these things, what with all your edits:) No-one else has replied here yet, so what I suggest is give them a week, then if no one else has begged for the article to stay, (or better still, improved it's sources) let's go for it. I have some nice ideas for how this bit can be set out in demonology.Merkinsmum 18:40, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I love OFS demonolatry and their site is great, but lovely as it is to see it again, they've said at the top of this talk page that they will take legal action.Merkinsmum 00:51, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
