Denis Sinor[edit]

Denis Sinor needs a Wiki Page. I so decree. Michael Hancock (talk)

Yes, there should be. There's already a request up at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Central_Asia/Request_Articles#Central_Asian_Studies, though. —Firespeaker (talk) 04:25, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Needs to be expanded, though. Otebig (talk) 05:15, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mongolia Society[edit]

Mongolia Society has no affiliation with CEUS, and will be removed from this page immediately. The other centers listed are connected to CEUS via budget and formal agreements, while the Mongolia Society's own website [1] lists no connection with CEUS. The fact that they are in the same hall is not enough - why not include the various Tibetan centers in the same town, or the Hungarian chair, etc. --Michael Hancock (talk) 20:39, 4 May 2009 (UTC) Of course, I'm open to discussion.--Michael Hancock (talk) 21:30, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Michael - MonSoc is affiliated with CEUS - it was founded by John Hangin, after all (who was brought to IU by Sinor). MonSoc is at IU because of its affiliation with CEUS, but it is indeed fiscally independent from the University (a non-profit). There are formal agreements between CEUS and MonSoc, just no financial support from CEUS or IU. And as you point out, the TMBCC is an important part of CEUS's history - and it deserves it's own page.

Orkhon inscriptions in Unicode[edit]

I have converted entire Orkhon inscriptions into unicode, I thought this might be of interest to you

here http://kokturkanitlari.appspot.com/

I have also uploaded it onto wikipedia's English and Turkish sections here
