@ArsenalFan700: I noticed this at GAN and just wanted to leave some comments, as I can't commit to a full review. Soccerway and MLS Multiplex are not reliable sources and would need to be replaced with better sources (such as MLSsoccer.com, Soccer America, OregonLive/The Oregonian, ESPN, etc.). SB Nation blogs like Sounder At Heart and Stumptown Footy are borderline, but there are better ones to be found. Also, there's no mention of the 2016 season and it's very lean on his pre-Timbers career. SounderBruce08:34, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
SounderBruce (talk·contribs) Thanks for the notes! So I have removed the MLS Multiplex sources and replaced them with more reliable ones. I have not removed Soccerway though as I don't think that is true that it isn't a reliable source... soccerway is pretty much used exclusively when making new pages and I have never seen that contested but we could totally consult Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football on that. I have also added more information in regards to the 2016 season and others as well. I have also added some more information regarding his time at Porto and Almería but I can't really find too much more regarding his time at Lanús. I will focus on that and see what I can find. Thanks again. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 19:06, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, over the next couple of days. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful.
If nominators or editors could refrain from updating the particular section that I am updating until it is complete, I would appreciate it to remove a edit conflict. Please address concerns in the section that has been completed above (If I've raised concerns up to references, feel free to comment on things like the lede.)
I generally provide an overview of things I read through the article on a first glance. Then do a thorough sweep of the article after the feedback is addressed. After this, I will present the pass/failure. I may use strikethrough tags when concerns are met. Even if something is obvious why my concern is met, please leave a message as courtesy.
Best of luck! you can also use the {{done}} tag to state when something is addressed. Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs)
Please let me know after the review is done, if you were happy with the review! Obviously this is regarding the article's quality, however, I want to be happy and civil to all, so let me know if I have done a good job, regardless of the article's outcome.
Done Changed to "Valeri is regarded by Major League Soccer as one of their greatest players of all time and in Portland Timbers history." and with a citation included. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:17, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not marking this as "done". Added what I could but there isn't too much available on his time at Lanus. I sort of look at this like with Thierry Henry, where we have a bit about his time with Monaco, a club he played over 100 matches for, before a line about Juventus. Let me know what you think? --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:17, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Valeri then led the Timbers to the final of the MLS is Back Tournament in 2020, defeating Orlando City. - and then defeated Orlando in the final or similar. Currently reads like they defeated Orlando on route to the final. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs)10:31, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, kind of hard to do. He made a start in a friendly, not much else to add that is noteworthy besides that he made his debut. Suggestions? --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 21:37, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
He opened the scoring for the club after just 27 seconds, deflecting a clearance from Columbus goalkeeper Steve Clark to give the Timbers the very early lead. - we don't need to say "very early lead" we have the time. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs)10:45, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I am sorry about that. This review began right after I arrived in Michigan for vacation. I am only able to do a couple small things on wikipedia for the time being. I will start looking at this tonight but I will probably need a little under a week more to get through all of these items properly. Let me know if that works and I will begin as soon as I can. Really do appreciate you starting this though. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 16:36, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
