This entry has no separate existence apart from Seven wonders of the World. It should be mentioned there, with a redirect. Wetman 03:55, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)
We do know some of the wounders of the world: big ben the great wall of china statue of liberty nigera falls the efle tower and there are 3 more
As far as I can see, its just a list of things someone thought were important. Without reference citations, it looks like original research. I'm going to put a cleanup tag on it, but my real feeling is that it should be AfD if this is all there is to it. –Shoaler (talk) 19:18, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I have no problems with this article - I agree with the last user; it looks like it's just a list of things that have been labelled the Either Wonder of the world. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.225.239.144 (talk • contribs) 12:50, September 14, 2006
Actually is does have citation at the bottom though it might not be the best, and alot of the things on this list i have actually heard of people wanting them to be wonders... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.19.100.105 (talk • contribs) 15:39, September 14, 2006
What about Stonehenge or the Great Wall of China? I'm sure they have been described countless times as the eight wonder... shouldn't they be added provided one could find a fitting citation? --Ifrit 11:26, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
All items in this list should be cited per our verifiability policy with reliable sources. I have tagged uncited entries with {{fact}}. If they remain unsourced for a long period of time, they should be removed. Johntex\talk 00:58, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This claim struck me as odd, so I read the cited source.
Nobody made the claim that King Kong was the eigth wonder of the world (neither the film nor the fictional ape). The article mentions that the plot features men searching for the eight wonder of the world.
I think this entry should be removed.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.23.177.38 (talk • contribs) 17:53, 2007 January 22
This might not be of any value to the discussion about this article. But I believe the internet is the 8th wonder of the world.
Whoever made this is a idiot, I remember in the movie that they called king kong the 8th wonder in the worldCoolman1250 (talk) 22:38, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I went here specifically because of King Kong. I honestly thought it was going to just be a re-direct to King Kong. TBWarrior720 (talk) 06:16, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Do we really need categories?
1) The year 1900 is an entirely arbitrary point of division.
2) Babies are just as much a "human creation" as a building is - by this logic they need not be listed seperately.
I don't see the need for any separation of these entries as they are now. Any complaints to removing them and just presenting one list? Alvis 03:56, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm - I'm just thinking that babies usually doesnt last as long as a building - most buildings of old age took longer time to build than babies last - if a building does not last for more than 150 years can it then be called a true wonde r? - My point is actually that a wonder is a fantastic creation and that a person, however its skills and what it has acomplished, has no other abilities than so many before. I know many mothers will disagree:) - luise —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.167.173.177 (talk) 17:17, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In defense of the recently removed suggestion, Chyna is referred to as the ninth wonder of the world when introduced, but the official WWE site doesn't seem to have any mention of it, or even her. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.97.113.168 (talk) 05:15, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am sure that the Dutch Sea Barriers Delta Works has been mentioned as eigth wonder of the world for many times. Discovery Channel and National Geographic even made shows about them. Let's be honest, the Thames Barrier doesn't even come close in scale AND the Delta Works are a lot older. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.24.18.253 (talk) 21:28, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's mentioned in an anime-only Yugioh card Ayers Rock Sunrise Most yugioh cards based on real things (or locations) happen to have some significance —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.229.162.122 (talk) 11:52, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
"Your mom's tight anus is by more than 5% of the adult male population of the world referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World" that can't be right. If its a popular joke or something then it should say that, but I've never heard of it. Should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.109.6.2 (talk) 22:36, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

eg the Post-1900 list seems alphabetical, but would be more logical/useful if chronological by construction date, (or date of nomination as 8th wondew?) ? - Rod57 (talk) 16:38, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
