Plagiarism by www.lakersplayers.org[edit]

Since I have received no response from the www.lakersplayers.org web site administrator and they have made no attempts to attribute their source, I am noting here that the site

http://www.lakersplayers.org/elgin-baylor.php

has plagiarized this particular wikipedia article. Myasuda 13:57, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed a link to the top rebounds per game averages in the history of the NBA. There is no reason for Baylor's 26th-best average to be included but not the 27th best average. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.165.232.82 (talk) 22:10, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It would be nice if the article had less of the race angle and more of what a great guy and player he was. For example, most fans had never seen somebody hang in the air, wait for defenders to obey gravity, and then still score. Every player on my basketball team was trying to imitate his play, and the time was all white. Everything in life is not about race. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.49.27.38 (talk) 00:59, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Father's watch[edit]

The story is sometimes told that Elgin Baylor's father owned an Elgin Watch, and was so pleased witht he watch that he named is son after it. I don't know the provenance of this story.  Randall Bart   Talk  20:27, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
