Anxiety?[edit]

I looked on Biography.com and there is no entry for Elizabeth Eckford so I am not sure whether the statement concerning her trauma (cannot recieve hugs) is accurate as this was the source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fabulous Feminist (talkcontribs) 20:30, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why would anyone meeting someone for the first time expect them to accept a hug from a stranger? I don't hug strangers either. Also, not sure what the last remark is supposed to signify. Who cares what a non-entity thinks about an icon of the civil rights movement and her ability to "handle crowds"? Why is this supposed to be significant? 24.215.160.133 (talk) 21:09, 19 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Date discrepancy in section about the killing of Erin Eckford[edit]

The final sentence reads "On June 18, 2001, the newspaper reported that prosecutors investigating the fatal shooting had decided that the police officers concerned were justified in shooting Mr. Eckford." Mr. Eckford died in 2003. I don't want to just change 2001 to 2003 since I can't find the source of that sentence and it could be a later year. Does anyone know? Jlygrnmigt (talk) 19:11, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Noticed that as well. Did a quick search, but couldn't find anything concerning the follow-up report on the shooting, so I simply removed the date. Blotto adrift (talk) 12:43, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
