Swedish terms and names[edit]

Not sure whether it's more appropriate to use the original names or translating them, I put them here: Kungliga Arméförvaltningen was the Royal Army Administration, which had several departments, for instance Indenturavdelningen which was a commissariat and Tygavdelningen, Department of Ordnance under which Fordonsbyrån (Vehicle bureau) sorted. It was tasked with everything from keeping up with the general development in the world, engineering solutions to specific needs of the army to have the projects purchased or manufactured and current vehicles within the organisation evaluated. Försvarsbeslut is the decision of the Riksdag (Swedish parliament) of longterm policies for the Swedish defence (both armed and civilian) taken roughly every 5-10 years, which includes an estimate of the economic frames, desired capabilities, focus for improvement of materiel as well as political security policies. BP OMowe (talk) 23:48, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Probably best to use the original Swedish wording but add the English translations in brackets and quotes, e.g., as; Fordonsbyrån ('Vehicle Bureau') — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.7.147.13 (talk) 19:04, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As per WP:ENGLISH, English names are preferred. Few readers will be able to parse the Swedish words, the English names gives the reader an idea of what the organizations were.--Sus scrofa (talk) 20:04, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
