EU law vs EC law[edit]

"The principle of direct effect would have had little impact if Union law did not supersede national law. Without supremacy the Member States could simply ignore EU rules. In Costa v ENEL (1964), the court ruled that member states had definitively transferred sovereign rights to the Community and Union law could not be overridden by domestic law." I was wondering whether we should avoid the anachronism here and, instead of Union law (or EU law), use Community law (or EC law). Is there any settled practice or guideline on this? Division Map should include Northern Ireland[edit]

The division map seems to be a reused svg showing EU countries, this is no longer accurate, as it excludes Northern Ireland along with the rest of the UK.

Northern Ireland should still be colored blue, as the ECJ still has jurisdiction. 109.78.91.206 (talk) 01:27, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
