I DISAGREE: Rabbani is a recognized scholar of Islam, working with a recognized site (www.SunniPath.com) and published with a number of leading magazines (Q-News, Islamica), and with a number of published books.
Keep. I disagree with the above opinions. Sidi Faraz Rabbani is a notable modern-day researcher of Islamic law, translator of several reknowned Arabic texts to English, and has even been mentioned by the BBC and other noted organizations. If the BBC recognizes Rabbani as significant, I would like to believe that Wikipedia would too, in order for it become a comprehensive encyclopaedia catering to all tastes, beliefs and creeds. I will now edit the Wikipedia reference to Sidi Faraz Rabbani, in order for the addition to be in a more organized and encyclopaedic manner. Xaxerian 20:46 PM, 17 Dec 2004
I disagree. Rabbani is a known scholar of Deobandi Islam and an integral part of Sunnipath.com. It's not comparable to "my friend John" analogy.
Sidi Faraz Rabbani is one of the most well-known scholars in the west. He has translated and written works on Islamic Law and spirituality. He also has one of the most well known Islamic Online schools in the world. A definite keep.
Sidi Faraz is a contemporary Islamic scholar of Traditional Islamic beliefs. He also succesfully implemented online Islamic courses and is taking it to great heights. A definate keep.
I removed the word "interesting" from the line about running an "active -- (formerly 'and interesting') -- blog" ... it's not an encyclopedia's job to name what is and is not interesting, and I believe that simple removal does a lot to make this page less like a personal advertisement.
It is shocking beyond belief that people actually discussed deleting this entry at any point in time, Shayk Faraz is one of most important up and coming Islamic Scholars and his website Sunni Path is very popular in Muslims around the world, not only that he is a student of some of the best and most widely recognized Islamic scholors in Shayk Nuh Keller and Mufti Taqi Usmani. Wikipedia is not an unsourced encyclopedia, no matter how much personality he carries, it needs reliable independent sources to prove it. Failed WP:GNGOntor22 (talk) 13:35, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have tried to enhance the neutrality of this article by rewriting it, removing things that I cannot find sourced except in articles or blogs directly connected with the subject, and using the third-party Muslim 500 as a source. This article is confusing. Unable to find reliable source in reference section. Independent source must be included for the article to survive otherwise it is subject to deletion. Ontor22 (talk) 13:44, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
