Quote[edit]

"Ironically, the same France, through her tax authorities, had seized till the last franc of Sagan's royalties and property, and thus condemned her to a painful and difficult survival during the last four years of her life. Only by the kindness of a few friends she avoided being homeless. These friends appealed for an amnesty that would have allowed Sagan a less tragic end. The French government was adamant in punishing and making an example of her." What the fuck is this right-wing shit doing here? If you don't understand socialism then don't presume to open your mouth on the subject of French culture. --62.255.236.227 15:28, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that quote actually shows a working understanding of socialism (which isn't, wasn't, and will never be exclusively a French issue), and if you notice the grammar, its structured in a more Latin style than English; it's rather uncomfortable, and reads like a straight translation, with no edit - in other words, it might have been written by a French person. Ironic, non? Emailnuevo (talk) 13:30, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wasn't Francoise Sagan also the mistress of Jean Paul Sartre ? This seems to be a notable omission. ---- Penvronius Miles Cambrensis

Des bleus à l'âme[edit]

While working on the "Works" section, I moved Des bleus à l'âme from "Autobiography" to "Novels". I've read the book and it is a cross between a novel and an essay, I don't think it'd be fair to put it together with interviews and such. Jashiin (talk) 09:48, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

shouldn't these be mentioned? I am not sure how accurate the Juliette Greco link is though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.197.144.46 (talk) 18:16, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Jewish[edit]

The article doesn't mention that she was Jewish. Was she? You would think so, judging by her pseudonym which is a Jewish surname. I'm not sure about her legal surname. What is the truth? And shouldn't this be mentioned, if it were true? Hansung02 (talk) 20:29, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
