This was started and remains a project - there are quite a few articles about wikimedia australian projects that have details in mainspace that are tagged as project JarrahTree03:27, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You gave me no examples of mainspace articles that are tagged as project-class. According to this petscan, Freopedia is the only Australian article in mainspace that is tagged as project-class. Your assertion that there is "quite a few articles about wikimedia australian projects that have details in mainspace that are tagged as project" is incorrect. Category:Project-Class articles says at the top that "this is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages". Looks like my instinct was correct. This shows that it is improper for mainspace articles to be tagged as project-class. @JarrahTree and Steelkamp: I'm assuming this is section is about this edit which tagged Freopedia article as Project class and which was then undone? It does sound like it shouldn't be Project, because that is used for 'meta' pages and not actual encyclopedia articles. At least, that's my understanding. Sorry JarrahTree, I agree with Steelkamp! — SamWilson06:23, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
fair enough - the ambiguousness of the word 'project' across some aspects of wikipedia may be clarified in this particular point, but its not as straight forward as that. So it goes. JarrahTree14:20, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
