Unsure, but the 'who is actually x in y body' and similar details in the cast section feels like it could be unnecessary extra detail? Especially as it gives away the plot of the film. I changed, "Chris attempts to escape in Jeremy's Porsche but accidentally hits Georgina, who is possessed by Rose's grandmother, Marianne" to, "Chris attempts to escape in Jeremy's Porsche but accidentally hits Georgina, who is supposed to be Rose's grandmother, Marianne, after Georgina's brain has been replaced with Marianne's brain." For all intents and purposes, the film treats it as a possession. The brain transplantees take over the body they're transplanted to, depriving the consciousness of the original occupants of their autonomy. @Popcornfud and CRBoyer: Possession is the state of being controlled by a demon or spirit. For example, "they said prayers to protect the people inside the hall from demonic possession". Here, it is a brain transplantation by which the brain gets a new body. LIKE I SAID, it's practically possession. The Armitages, once they have their brains transplanted into another person, take over their body. They live the life of their host. Much like a demon takes over a human body. And also, those who get possessed are sent to the sunken place, forced to watch someone else live their life. @Crboyer: The sunken place is an imaginary place to describe where Mrs. Armitage makes her subject feel they have sunken to but after the brain transplantation, the body is taken over by the brain of Roman, Marianne, Hudson etc.; the African-Americans are no longer alive after that.-49.205.131.67 (talk) 17:56, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
