Here some photos taken from the (seemingly unpopular and harder to climb) right side of the canyon. Unlike at the bottom, there is no trunk of a tree (or bridge, for that matter) once you reach the top of the waterfall. The only (safe - since the right side is very steep) way back is to cross the river arms up there - icecold water directly from Hvalvatn. Actually we lost track of the markers which are supposed to mark the path at some point and just made our way up regardless.
