Certification for Goldfinger[edit]

A search of the RIAA's online database turns up nothing for Goldfinger (whether as a single or as an album) or Shirley Bassey. I also looked under John Barry. http://www.riaa.com/goldandplatinumdata.php?table=SEARCH -- Nyctc7 (talk) 06:15, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A figure of 1,000,000 in sales for the single (not the soundtrack) has been used in various places, using Guinness Records as a source, but with no reference to a book or online source or anything else. (Such a reference would be welcome). It is not even clear now whether this 1,000,000 figure refers to the single or the soundtrack, which is why a specific reference would be nice. If it really sold that many copies in America, one has to wonder why there is no RIAA Gold or Platinum certification--Nyctc7 (talk) 17:38, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good new work on John Barry[edit]

Anyone interested should check out Eddi Fiegel's John Barry: A Sixties Theme: From James Bond to Midnight Cowboy. Great stuff!!199.48.242.140 (talk) 13:58, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Minor changes to the article[edit]

Hello, fellows. I made some small changes to the article. The first was the name of the author of one of the sources: it was Jon, and not John, Burlingame.

Another change was the naming (in the appropriate paragraph) of the four tracks that, while integral part of the UK version, were absent in the US version. The sentence that mentioned the difference between both versions made reference to "the four songs that were discussed above", although they hadn't been discussed anywhere, whether in an explicit or implicit form, in the paragraphs above.

The last one was the deletion of successive instances of the same source within paragraphs. It seemed more appropriate to leave only the last instance when the source is used many times in a row in a single paragraph. My decision was made based more in aesthetic grounds than otherwise. 191.5.85.92 (talk) 22:03, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
