I propose that Motunau be merged into Greta Valley. Motunau is barely even anything. The article is one line and the actual location is some houses near a beach. it certainly doesn't need its own article. It could be mentioned in the Greta Valley article or the Hurunui District article. 202.169.220.14 (talk) 11:04, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I tentatively support this merge, unless someone can find sufficient reliable sources to make the Motunau article significantly more detailed. There is a Motunau Beach Ratepayers Association but their website does not contain much detail which would be useful to us. There's a campground which could be mentioned but is not enough to make the locality notable. The Hurunui District Council has a single page to cover both Motunau and Greta Valley, so this does appear to be the appropriate place to merge it.-gadfium21:00, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see why not. If the section on Scargill grows too large (and is suitably sourced), it can be split off into a separate article. I suspect there isn't a lot of reference material available for Scargill however. The place to look would be in the Hurunui District library, which has a branch at Greta Valley school, and perhaps also in the University of Canterbury library.-gadfium01:23, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
