Arianos[edit]

I cant find much on the historian Arianos, I tried to find some info on him outside of wikipedia and couldn't find any. Was this a real person, a spelling error or fabrication? Let me know thanks!

Adding page breaks[edit]

The article appeared to crunched and jumbled so I added page breaks to make it easier to follow. The heading titles were just what I felt best summarized the different point in the articles. Feel free to change and edit if you think of a better wording or page break. Agne27 20:41, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Consistency of spelling[edit]

In the third sentence in the first paragraph, the king's name is given as Mausolus - but in the caption of the first picture at the right hand side it's Maussollos. Is it possible to be consistent? Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 07:09, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Usually, Greek settlers first occupied an island near a native settlement; later, they settled on the mainland.[edit]

Dear user:Khirurg,

The reference source says "Usually, Greek settlers first occupied an island near a native settlement; later, they settled on the mainland." Which means, they were systematically occupying the islands first, then to start occupying the mainland. It was their general tactic to seize new lands. So, according to this, how "usual invasion tactic" can be POV? If you are nationalistically annoyed by the word "invasion", we can change it with "occupy". But there is great info there. We should just set aside our "national pride" when writing universal history. This is not our national schoolbook.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alasiyan (talkcontribs) 10:15, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

user:Khirurg Or, nevermind... It's not a big deal. I'm too old to let myself stress out fighting for this. Thanks anyway... Alasiyan (talk) 10:54, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
