Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on Hardware Freedom Day. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to trueorfailed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

How many times was Hardware Freedom Day held?

[edit]

Digital Freedom Foundation maintained several event-organizing websites for several years. But then, how many of these events were actually held? If you look at these websites through the years by using Internet Archive, you'll think that the events happened many times... but then, you'll notice that the only organizing effort for Document Freedom Day after 2016 was just to update the date on the website - no events were actually organized. So, how many Hardware Freedom Days were actually organized?

Well, in the case of Hardware Freedom Day the website changes from year to year except for the last one - the 2018 website looks the same as the 2017 one. But in order to tell the difference, look at the link for the event map at the top of the front page:

Just the same link! That tells the tale that at some point after the 2017 event, they began preparing the 2018 edition, changed the date... and then did no more. The event map is the one from 2017, so no 2018 events were actually introduced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ignacio.Agulló (talkcontribs) 05:37, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
