Transfer of text[edit]

This is the text of the abolished article World Communist Movement. Some it can probably be incorporated into this article, which is pretty inadequate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adam Carr (talkcontribs) 02:44, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone who wants this history can refer to the article's page history: World Communist Movement (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) Removed it since it wasn't archiving properly, is unsourced (so has little value to us now), and didn't need to be posted here verbatim. czar 05:07, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

World Communist Movement/History of Communism[edit]

I would agree that the article, after the early years, is almost totally about the Soviet Union. Although this is important, it is only a part of the history of Communism. It is also, in no way a substitute for the WCM article, which, although it should be broader, is an accurate account of what is generally recognised as the WCM. Either the WCM article should be incorporated into this one, with the gaps filled in, or it should be re-instated as a separate article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.205.21 (talk) 13:49, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Inca Empire[edit]

Under the origins of communism, when discussing earlier forms, which have later come to be considered communism, would a mention of the Inca Empire be worth considering? The people of the empire provided the higher-ups with labour, and in turn were provided with free food, clothes, healthcare, and schooling. While not directly contributing to the development of communism, nor stemming from it, a mention of it could still provide insight into how these ideas are not unique to Europe or the west, and have developed on their own independently.

there are LOTS of reliable secondary sources on the history of communism. Do any of them claim the Inca situation was "communism"?? Rjensen (talk) 07:57, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
