General engineer, rather than "civil engineer"[edit]
I was surprised to see that the article began by describing Horace Darwin as a "civil engineer". I believe that 100 years ago this just meant "non-military engineer", which would be a fair description. Today "civil engineer" indicates more specialism, and I think we would, given his founding of and contributions to the Cambridge Scientific Instrument Co., describe him as a mechanical electrical and general engineer. So I propose updating the article to define him simply as an engineer. Any comments?
