Aerodynamic fins[edit]

http://www.nationaldefensemagazine.org/archive/2011/March/Pages/NavyContractsSeenasVictoriesforAluminumShips.aspx The hulls share the same structural aluminum and geometry of extruded panels. They also run on the same model main propulsion diesel engines. Suppliers are providing the same aerodynamic fins, ride control components and software on both vessels. General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems serves as the ship systems integrator on both programs.

Shouldn't that be "aquadynamic"? Hcobb (talk) 15:43, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agressive disintigration at the molecular level[edit]

I don't understand why the phrase "Agressive disintigration at the molecular level" is being used in the 'corrosion management' section of this article.

It basically looks like someone working for the contractor went into the article and re-wrote that whole section so that there is no reference to RUST.

LCS is the class, Independence/Freedom are Variants[edit]

The title of this article erroneously refers to the variants as classes in and of themselves. No official Navy source I can find does so, nor do the contractors working on the variants. Wikipedia appeared to have been incorrect in their nomenclature, so I started fixing it then got reverted for "nonsense". Here are my sources... http://www.navy.mil/navydata/fact_display.asp?cid=4200&tid=1650&ct=4, http://www.lmlcsteam.com, ... even the GD page which has "class" in the URL refers to it as "variant" throughout the actual text http://www.gdlcs.com/independence-class-lcs. I'd like to propose Wikipedia use the same terminology as everyone else and move this page to "Independence-variant Littoral Combat Ship". --Sam (talk) 15:04, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 21:39, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Design/ Cruise Ship[edit]

The link cruise ship is to an article on large passenger liners. Obviously, littoral combat ships are not the same. Terry Thorgaard (talk) 21:27, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think that's just how the general ship design began. Given that it later evolved into the HSC Benchijigua Express before evolving again into the littoral combat ship, it may have genuinely started as a cruise ship hull design. --OuroborosCobra (talk) 21:29, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
