Anyone think we could/should make mention to the fact that the storyline is completely divergent from that of the novel? Basically the only similarity in the two stories are character names and the concept of "Jumping."Himynameishelen (talk) 23:34, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just me who thinks this should be a brief (5-10 lines) section giving an overview, rather than this mammoth block of text? Anyone mind if I hack it down to size? To my mind, it's way too detailed and becomes too much like narrative, rather than encyclopedic.Himynameishelen (talk) 23:55, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I pulled this out of the premise: "Samuel L. Jackson was last seen in Calgary, Alberta on July 10, 2006." It's too confusing of a statement. If it needs to be added in, add it into a Background subsection and provide more detail. Erik 18:12, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Highly anecdotal evidence: while driving a taxicab, I took Max Thierot and a few others from a hotel to a restaurant, in downtown Ann Arbor on 2-22-2007

There's gonna be a prequel graphic novel released, I'm behind a firewall, but you can get the info from www.comicbookresources.com Vicco Lizcano (talk) 19:48, 14 December 2007 (UTC) (Hey! Listen!)[reply]
This website opened on October 17, 2007 with plugs in lonelygirl15 and KateModern videos. I joined the forums there around the same time, and recently a boy named Jack has been making videos at youtube with the username watchyourjack. A couple days ago the website began to show clues and signs like it has been from Suzie the webmaster's grandmother's ghost that have led us to believe that the website/forum/watchyourjack series is viral marketing/an ARG for this movie. It's probably worth looking at and possibly linking in this article. http://www.whatweird.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.142.130.37 (talk • contribs) 14:40, 7 January 2008
The article states baldly that William is dead, but that's not clear from the movie. He's left in the hospital, and that's that. Corvus cornixtalk 07:33, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've just got back from seeing the movie (well, I say seeing it, didn't do much watching as frankly it was awful) and I think it's pretty clear he's dead. The paladins certainly don't mess about with their work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.100.90.208 (talk) 23:05, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wouldn't David have said something to his mom if his dad was dead? That seems like something pretty important. "Hey mom, you're a paladin, I'm a jumper, Roland killed dad." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.226.139.154 (talk) 00:53, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he is dead. after Roland killed him, David took a while to come back. So the heart would have stopped by then from the lack of blood. But who cares, the dad was evil. (Unknown user)
It's never specifically said or confirmed in the movie, but it is implied and would make sense (like the last guy said). But for all we know he could be alive and well after recovering in the hospitol... or dead. And the dad wasn't evil, just kind of a jerk. Rubixmike14 (talk) 16:27, 5 March 2009
I am going to make a section with terms and subjective definitions. This way, they do not need to be explained in the plot section, allowing it to be shorter. Rau J16 16:04, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I began this article on the associated game. If anyone is interested, please help expand it and make it better. I'll probably get back to it tomorrow. Grandmasterka 09:38, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I know that it is stated that the film is different from the novel, but since the two share some similarities, would it be worthwhile to have a section detailing the differences? I have seen this type of section in other articles of films based on novels. -Rgb9000 (talk) 03:39, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, but since the film is an intermarriage of the first novel and Jumper: Griffin's Story, there are numerous differences that would probably fill up another page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.188.33.13 (talk) 14:13, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I aggre two, the film and the novel should have some notable differences and similarities.Grimmjow E6 (talk) 19:37, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why is the verb "jump" spelled with an uppercase J throughout the article? What is the meaning of the James Valentine link under "See Also"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.130.4.46 (talk) 13:49, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It refers to the fictional act of "Jumping", which if you watched the film is a type of teleporting. It is a noun therefore has a capital 'J'. "Jump" does not refer to the act of moving up and down; e.g. high-jump. It is its own thing, thus, if you had taken an English class before in your life would know that it starts with a capital J. 125.236.154.70 (talk) 05:35, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, Thats just the way I talk to people who think they know what they're talking about. I have been subject to the script and own the novel, I know the universe in which this is set, do not patronize me without justification/or without you knowing the true nature of the topic. I've nominated the article for GA assessment. I recently reworked the page by expanding the production section and adding sources for the majority of the information that needed it. Please take a look and make sure there are no mistakes before it is reviewed. Good work to everyone in improving the article! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 06:45, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Roland is the name of Charlemagne's chief Paladin and the name of the head "Paladin" in the film
Can't see a mention of this, wonder if it is worth noting? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.118.205 (talk) 01:38, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.

I added a link to MovieMistakes.com, which is a pretty big website, yet it was removed. How come? —Preceding unsigned comment added by SexyIrishLeprechaun (talk • contribs) 14:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Is there any? I won't add this part cause I'm not a native speaker and i didn't see the original version of this movie. --91.96.153.232 (talk) 22:05, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It seems as if someone randomly placed the snippet "replace for rapper EmineminJumper" in the [Casting] section. There are various sources here that state he was to play the main role. I went ahead and verified this with a cached link of the original source which says nothing about Eminem at all and only states what the sentence is actually about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vince Navarro (talk • contribs) 06:06, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I only know of this film due to the death of the set director who was crushed under tonnes of concrete parts during dismantling, but it hasn't even got a mention. It's one of the few instances of horrific tragedies in film making, perhaps someone close to this article could add it? BaSH PR0MPT (talk) 04:07, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
