Ramesh Chandra Majumdar[edit]

Ramesh Chandra Majumdar is a noted historian, please consider his books. Drisha herjee (talk) 01:53, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

origin[edit]

The origin of Kalachuris is from Abhira clan.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]

In the period between the third and tenth centuries the history of the Abhiras becomes extremely confused, both in brahminical records and epigraphic inscrii)tions. They begin to be associated with ancient dynasties such as the Chedis and Haihayas, and are probably to be identified with the Kalachuri (or Katachuri) d\masty, one of whose rulers inaugurated the Kalachuri or Chedi era* in ad 249.
