Notes on creation[edit]

I have created this page following a request to do so on the Women in Red Project.

I consider that this person is notable because of the multiple notable awards that they have won, particularly the Eisner and Harvey awards. I do note there was an attempt to make this page in 2010, nine years ago, which was deleted "at the request of the author". That's all I could find out about the 2010 work, but I think it's moot because this person has done most of their work (and earned all the awards) well after 2010.

I have only thrown up a bare-bones article to start with. However, there are lots more sources: I have had a look for citations and I've linked them above but not yet gone through them. I also noted the following claims on the person's website that I haven't included yet because I haven't sourced them:

Reliable sources[edit]

Hi, as far as I know, Goodreads is not considered a reliable source on Wikipedia as it is a user-created database of books - almost anyone can add a book to the site. I suggest using Trove or publisher websites as more reliable sources. I've given an example with the source for Princess Princess. Also, check the guidelines at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lists_of_works#Publications_(Works,_Bibliography) for the usual style for writing lists of works by the subject of an article. Self-reported name change[edit]

O'Neill has announced that they prefer their first name to be Kay. Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Biography#Changed_names, and especially Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(people)#Self-published_name_changes cover this. Based on this I would leave the article at "Katie O'Neill" for now, changing later if they become more known by "Kay", but I'd welcome discussion.
