Removal of the n°4 source

[edit]

Narrated Abu 'Abdur-Rahman As-Sulami: that 'Ali bin Abi Talib said: "'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf prepared some food for which he invited us, and he gave us some wine to drink. The wine began to affect us when it was time for Salat. So they encouraged me (to lead) and I recited: 'Say: O you disbelievers! I do not worship what you worship, and we worship what you worship' - so Allah, Most High, revealed: O you who believe! Do not approach Salat when you are in a drunken state until you know what you are saying (4:43)."

It isn't written anywhere that : The Holy Prophet said: every intoxicant is khamr, and every khamr is forbidden. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.168.187.250 (talk) 16:51, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it is, there are several hadith saying this in the Sahih Muslim, see: http://www.sahihmuslim.com/sps/smm/sahihmuslim.cfm?scn=dspchaptersfull&BookID=23&ChapterID=844 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jb212 (talkcontribs) 19:54, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Zachdavid17: As I mentioned on the other talk page, there are some issues with the content you added. Please provide enough bibliographical information to identify the books you're citing, as described in WP:CITEHOW. If the citation doesn't identify a specific edition, page references are meaningless. The statement "this conclusion has its roots, etc" is unsourced. We need a citation for this generalization. I'm also requesting quotes for a couple of those citations; if they aren't in English, please provide translations per WP:NOENG. Thanks. Eperoton (talk) 14:48, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
