Jakub Liebschutz - Last rabbi of Konin. His tenement house has survived and one can see it in the south-west corner of Plac zamkowy (The Castle Square)
Stanislaw Lutomirski - Local parish-priest, an eminent devotee of Reformation - it was he, who put into the matter of fact an amazing history of Reformation in the region of Konin
Jerzy Lojko - local historian, expert interested in the history of Konin since the beginnings up to XIXth century. Author of unique Digital Encyclopaedia of Greater Poland, author of numerous works and popular booklets concerning tourism in the region of Eastern Greater Poland with special emphasis on Konin county. He laid the foundations of scientific researches concerning Scots and Scottish community in Konin, person of merit with regard to scientific researches concerning biography and personality of Jan Zemelko (Zemelius).
Ambrozy Pampowski - (1444-1510) - Outstanding politician for Polish kings of Jagiellonian Dynasty. Voivode of Sieradz, General Starost of Greater Poland (1494-1510), the leader of all noblemen of Greater Poland (1498-1504)
L. Reymond and his factory - the citizen of Switzerland who settled down in Konin for good. In 19th he built up a factory producing machines and tools for agriculture. It was the best equipped factory in Konin with own steam engine (12 horses-power) and foundry of cast iron. The factory existed to 1945 widely known as Reymond's factory. During World War II it produced various kinds of details necessary for German army and so was given of special status. The workers in that factory were remarkably well paid and came within a special treatment, even if they were mere Polish labourers. Some of them had higher wages than German soldiers and there are still widely known stories according to which workers of Reymond's factory could afford buying better meals in local restaurant than German officers. (Some interesting facts concerning Reymond's factory during WWII are derived from Mr Ryszard Miskiewicz)
