  • Comment: Please save this for 14 November. If better ALT is available please share with me!

  • Starting review, will return shortly. Looks promising! Yakikaki (talk) 14:40, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Long enough, new enough and within policy. The text could use some polishing but there are no obstacles for a DYK. Both hooks are good, and supported by inline citations. QPQ has been done. The picture is great and has proper licensing. This should be good to go, and should be saved for 14 November just as the nominator suggests. Yakikaki (talk) 14:50, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi, I came by to promote this and first edited the article. I added some tags to clarify information – there is nothing in the BBC source about it being the second largest festival, and I'm also wondering what the first largest festival is? Please add a source for it. The first hook is better than ALT1, which says too much, but the way ALT0 is worded, it sounds like ... that nowadays Nepali people worship dogs to please Yama? Perhaps it should be worded ... that on this day ...?Yoninah (talk) 20:29, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV discussion

[edit]

Here on Wikipedia, the lede section is designed to summarize the body of the article. It should touch on all major points found below, in summary fashion. It is remarkable to me that while a section on mistreatment is included in the body, it is forbidden to be summarized with one sentence in the lede. That is a whitewash, because the rest of the lede is 100% rosy, sunny, public relations for the holiday. Elizium23 (talk) 08:09, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dog identified with Yama, Dharma

[edit]

I don't know enough about this subject to understand why the dog has been identified with 1) Yama on this Wikipedia page, but rather with 2) Dharma on one of the articles to which this Wikipedia page refers (source 8), but rather with 1) Yama on another article to which this Wikipedia page refers (source 9). — Preceding unsigned comment added by ScottSloe (talkcontribs) 03:41, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WHY IS THE DOG IN THE PICTURE NOT COLORED WITH SPICES????

THE FACT THAT THE DOG IN THE PICTURE ISN'T COLORED WITH SPICES MAKES ME SAD :( THE Jproaz666 YT (talk) 08:35, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
